About JACK
JACK Hospitality is a Sydney-based food and beverage, hotel advisory and hospitality consultancy working with owners, operators and developers across Australia, Asia and the Pacific.
The four founders bring more than 100 years of combined experience across luxury hotels, restaurants, bars, resorts, casinos, stadiums, retail and major hospitality precincts.
Their work combines creative hospitality thinking with commercial planning and operational experience. That includes understanding the market, developing concepts, modelling how a venue could perform and helping owners prepare projects for operation.
For Geonet, JACK provides an independent hospitality perspective throughout the development process. They work alongside our development team, designers, consultants and hotel operator to help ensure the commercial and guest experience thinking is considered early.

JACK supports hospitality projects across the full development lifecycle.
For Geonet, this means we can bring hospitality thinking into the project while major decisions around positioning, design, operations, food and beverage and commercial structure are still being made.
Owner-side support across hotel development, pre-opening and operational readiness, including performance monitoring, revenue optimisation and cost management.
Research into market conditions, competitors, demand, guest profiles and cultural factors to support project positioning.
Development of hospitality concepts based on the project brief, target market and commercial objectives.
Commercial modelling that tests different operating assumptions and helps assess the financial viability of a hospitality concept.
Hospitality input into master planning to help align guest experience, operations, commercial spaces and overall project flow.
Development and planning of restaurant, bar and hospitality concepts, including positioning, operating requirements and guest experience.
Support as concepts move towards operation, including systems, processes and operational readiness.
Planning how guests experience and move through a hospitality environment, from arrival through to individual venues and facilities.
Strategic input into names, identities and brand systems for hospitality concepts and venues.
Planning how hospitality concepts can build awareness through marketing, programming, partnerships and guest experiences.
Retail strategy focused on tenancy mix, merchandising, customer experience and commercial performance.
Organisational and HR consulting designed to align teams, leadership and service culture with the hospitality concept.
Advisory focused on Indigenous participation, cultural engagement, employment and sustainable organisational pathways.
Performance-focused support for hospitality owners, operators and leadership teams.
Technology planning across point-of-sale, property management, table management and workforce systems.
Support with operational tendering, procurement requirements and evaluation frameworks.

Why Geonet works with JACK
Developing a hospitality asset requires more than architecture and construction.
The project also needs to work operationally. Restaurants need the right positioning. Guest journeys need to make sense. Staffing, service, revenue streams, operating systems and commercial assumptions need to be considered before opening.
We appointed JACK because their experience covers these areas from both an advisory and operational perspective. Their capabilities are centred around five key areas.

ELLE Resort & Beach Club, Seminyak · Artist impression
Planning and development of restaurant, bar, hotel and entertainment experiences, supported by operational and commercial thinking.
Experience across hotels, resorts, casinos and large hospitality venues, including operating efficiency, service standards and compliance.
Planning hospitality programming, events and guest activities that contribute to the wider destination experience.
Development of the systems, policies and operational frameworks required to support a hospitality business from opening onwards.
Planning of hospitality and retail environments, tenancy mix, customer experience and commercial performance.
Their role with Geonet
JACK sits on the advisory side of the project team.
Their role is different from the hotel operator. They work with Geonet during development to assess the hospitality model, challenge assumptions and provide specialist advice before and during the transition into operation.
JACK works alongside Geonet as an owner-side hospitality advisor. This provides another layer of specialist review across hospitality planning, commercial assumptions and operational preparation.
Restaurants, bars and other hospitality facilities are considered during the design and planning process rather than being treated as additions close to opening.
This allows layout, positioning, guest flow, operational requirements and commercial modelling to be considered together.
JACK advises on both ELLE Resort & Beach Club Bali and The Wylder.
This gives the team experience across two different Geonet hospitality concepts and allows market knowledge, operational insight and project learnings to carry across both developments where relevant.
JACK’s asset management work includes reviewing hospitality performance indicators such as RevPAR, RGI, ADR, forecasts and industry benchmarks.
This creates a framework for assessing actual hospitality performance against defined operating measures.
JACK’s four founders bring more than a century of combined hospitality experience, including more than 60 restaurant and bar openings across Australia and Japan.
Their wider experience includes major hotel brands, restaurants, hospitality venues and international projects.
JACK operates as an independent hospitality consultancy.
That gives Geonet access to specialist advice focused on the owner, the project and its operating requirements while working alongside the wider development and hospitality management team.
