Indonesia faces a significant outflow of patients seeking medical care abroad, with around 2 million Indonesians spending an estimated AUD 11.76 billion annually on medical tourism. With a major AUD 1.013 billion investment and a prime location in the Sanur Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the hospital ensures accessibility for both domestic, international patients, and visitors alike.

BIH aims to provide international-standard private medical care at competitive prices. This vision caters to retirees, expatriates, and travelers, strengthening Indonesia’s healthcare infrastructure and economic resilience. The hospital’s potential to elevate healthcare standards has already been recognized by Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure.

BIH has been designed to meet national and international standards, with certifications like the Green Building Certification and Radiation Oncology Bunker Certification from BAPETEN. The hospital adheres to Joint Commission International (JCI) standards and works with top international partners like Innoquest and ICON Cancer Centre.
