“This is the moment our investors have been waiting for.” Chad Egan, CEO, Geonet
Investors have been waiting for this moment. Geonet has received Government approval to develop the ELLE Beach Lounge on Seminyak Beach. The Lounge is Stage 1 of ELLE Resort & Beach Club and the first part of the resort to open. Construction is planned to start in Q1 2027, with opening expected toward the end of Q2 2027.
When we launched ELLE Resort & Beach Club twelve months ago, investors were waiting for two things: government approval and the start of construction. The approval is now in hand and construction is planned to start in Q1 2027. It is the biggest milestone of the project so far. We want to thank the hundreds of investors who are already part of it, and we look forward to welcoming many more.
The Lounge is part of the ELLE ecosystem, and everyone investing in ELLE Resort & Beach Club benefits from it. Its profits are included in the ELLE ecosystem that our investors share in. On top of that, ELLE investors will enjoy:
This is why hundreds of investors have already joined the resort and beach club and are loving hotel investment. It gives them an income and a lifestyle that comes with it.
Over the past twelve months, as we have shared on our website, the government in Bali has become much stricter about new investments, buildings and developments on the island. We think that is the right call. It protects Bali from overdevelopment and keeps it the place visitors fall in love with, and we fully support it.
Meeting those standards takes longer. Our design has been through an extensive review and approval process with the Badung Regency Government, and we thank the government for its diligence. It is one of the reasons investors choose Geonet: we do things properly at every stage.
“Bali deserves careful development, and the government is right to insist on it,” said Chad Egan, CEO, Geonet. “Every part of our design has been examined closely, and that scrutiny is exactly what gives our investors confidence.”
The Lounge covers approximately 500 square metres directly on the sand. It is an open-air venue with raised decking, pergolas, retractable awnings and a show kitchen beside the bar. It will run three seatings from day into night: morning coffee and long lunches, then sunset drinks, then dinner and music late into the evening. It is designed to be a beacon on the Seminyak beachfront, a staple of Bali’s beach scene and a place every visitor to the island knows by name.

The build quality matters as much as the look. Colliers is managing the development with a team of international architects, designers and engineers, and the Lounge is being built to the same standard as the resort that will follow it.
The interiors are led by Tristan du Plessis and his Cape Town studio, whose work includes Le Café Louis Vuitton in Shanghai, SAN Beach Club in Dubai and Chapter Roma. His direction is coastal French: a Mediterranean finish created with local Balinese ingredients and materials. JACK Hospitality is building the food and drink around an Aegean-inspired grill and lounge. Expect premium seafood, grilled dishes and generous share plates, with premium wines, Champagne, cocktails and internationally recognised spirits.
ELLE Resort & Beach Club Bali follows the Maison ELLE hotels in Paris and Amsterdam, and it will be the first resort and beach club anywhere in the world to carry the ELLE name. The Lounge will sit alongside the 168-suite ELLE Resort, restaurants, spa and retail when the wider resort opens, planned for the end of 2029 or early 2030.
ELLE brings one of the world’s best-known fashion and lifestyle names to the Lounge, along with a strong following across Asia. That reach is central to our strategy as Geonet expands into Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan. It works in two directions: it introduces Asian investors to the ELLE investment, and it brings Asian guests through the doors of the Lounge and the resort.
Through ELLE, the Lounge will also be a stage for partnerships with the world’s great luxury houses and brands, with brand activations, collaborations and events on the sand.
We also love the idea of running the Lounge the way a fashion house runs its collections. Fashion houses refresh their concepts every season, and we are looking at following the same rhythm, with seasonal activations and fresh ideas that use the venue in a new way through the year. The aim is to give guests a new reason to come back each season.
The Lounge will be operated by SONO Hotels & Resorts, the Korean hospitality group that already runs hotels in Seminyak and Legian. SONO brings deep operating experience and a strong connection to the Korean and wider Asian travel market. We are delighted to be working in partnership with SONO on this project, and we thank them for their commitment to the Lounge and to ELLE Resort & Beach Club.

“Investors will be able to follow it from the very beginning,” said Chad Egan. “They’ll see the designs, meet the partners, watch construction progress and ultimately see the venue open and begin operating.”
We will release a monthly video series, made with our partners, following the Lounge through design and construction. It will cover progress from site, Tristan’s designs as they develop, material selections, and conversations with the people bringing it to life: Tristan and his team, Josh and JACK Hospitality, SONO Hotels & Resorts and Colliers.
Government approval and the start of construction bring security to the project. With that security, prices are set to rise soon.
Investors also earn income while the resort is being built. Through our IPDC structure, ELLE Resort & Beach Club provides a minimum 8% p.a., paid quarterly, rising to 10% p.a. for investments of A$250,000 or more. Payments run for up to five years, through construction and the resort’s first two years of operation.
