As we progress through development, we are extremely proud to announce the appointment of Conran and Partners as the interior design studio for ELLE Resort, marking a significant creative milestone for the first-ever ELLE-branded resort.

With studios in London and Hong Kong, Conran and Partners is internationally recognised for shaping some of the world’s most refined hospitality interiors. Their portfolio spans luxury hotels, branded residences, and lifestyle destinations across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, making them a natural partner to bring ELLE’s editorial world into a fully realised resort environment.

From the outset, this was a highly selective process. Given ELLE’s heritage as a global authority in fashion, culture, and design, the brief required a studio with both creative credibility and long-term design discipline. Conran and Partners stood out for their ability to translate brand DNA into spaces that feel lived-in, timeless, and deeply connected to place.

As Tina Norden, Partner and Principal at Conran and Partners, shares, “Designing the interiors for the first ELLE Resort is a rare opportunity to translate an iconic editorial voice into a physical experience. We are creating spaces that feel intuitive, expressive, and rooted in place, interiors that reflect both ELLE’s Parisian heritage and the soul of Bali.”

Bringing the First ELLE Resort to Life

Conran and Partners has already commenced work on the interior concept for ELLE Resort, collaborating closely with Inspiral Architecture to ensure a seamless dialogue between architecture and interior spaces. The result is an integrated design approach where form, materiality, and guest experience are developed together rather than in isolation.

Early concept work draws on a refined interplay between Parisian chic and Balinese softness, blending ELLE’s French art de vivre with the island’s natural textures, climate-responsive design, and rich craft traditions. The interiors are envisioned as calm yet expressive, elegant but welcoming, capturing the dual energy of Seminyak where relaxation meets vibrancy.

As outlined in the concept presentation, the design language centres on what Conran and Partners describe as “effortless luxury,” with interiors that feel elevated without excess, editorial without being staged, and luxurious without losing warmth or humanity .

A Design Narrative Rooted in Place

Rather than imposing a global hotel aesthetic, the ELLE Resort interiors are being shaped around Bali itself. Local materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and a strong connection to landscape play a central role, from natural stone and timber to woven textures and hand-finished details.

The resort’s interior spaces are conceived as a sequence of experiences, moving between moments of calm and social energy. Guest rooms, suites, and shared spaces are designed to feel residential in comfort yet expressive in character, reflecting ELLE’s philosophy of blending the beautiful with the useful.

This approach ensures the resort feels relevant not just at opening, but over decades of operation, supporting longevity, operational efficiency, and enduring guest appeal.

At this stage, we are able to share an exclusive teaser of the interior concept, presented by the team at Conran and Partners this week, offering insight into the creative direction, palette, and design philosophy that will define ELLE Resort. This offers a glimpse into the thinking behind the project without revealing the final design.

Collaboration at the Highest Level

The interior design process is being developed in close collaboration with ELLE’s corporate hospitality team, ensuring that brand pillars such as French heritage, women’s empowerment, eco-consciousness, and cultural generosity are thoughtfully translated into the physical environment.

Inspiral Architecture continues to lead the architectural vision for the resort, with Conran and Partners extending that narrative internally through layered spaces, natural light, and a strong indoor-outdoor relationship. This collaborative model allows architecture, interiors, and brand storytelling to evolve together as one cohesive experience.

Geonet CEO Chad Egan commented,“Working with a design studio of Conran and Partners’ calibre gives us enormous confidence in the long-term quality of this resort. Their approach aligns perfectly with how we see ELLE Resort, not as a trend-led hotel, but as a lifestyle destination designed to endure.”

This is only the beginning.

With concept development now underway, the collaboration between Conran and Partners, Inspiral Architecture, and ELLE’s global team marks the beginning of a deeply considered design journey. As the interiors evolve, they will continue to be shaped by place, brand, and guest experience, setting the foundation for a resort that feels both unmistakably ELLE and unmistakably Bali.
